Matsya Avatara – The Divine Fish and Satyavrata's Salvation

This discourse concludes the Eighth Skandha of Srimad Bhagavatam with the Matsya Avatara story. King Satyavrata discovers a miraculous fish that grows rapidly, ultimately recognizing it as Lord Narayana. The Lord warns Satyavrata of an impending deluge, instructs him to board a divine boat with sages and seeds, and promises protection. During the flood, Satyavrata praises the Lord as the only true Guru and receives the Matsya Purana containing knowledge of Brahmavidya, bhakti, and karma yoga. The Lord also slays the demon Hayagriva and restores the stolen Vedas, after which Satyavrata becomes Vaivasvata Manu of the current age.
