In this sacred episode from Canto 3 of the Srimad Bhagavatham, we explore the magnificent Varaha incarnation, in which Lord Vishnu assumes the form of a divine boar to rescue the Earth goddess from the depths of the cosmic ocean. The Lord's glorious battle with the demon Hiranyaksha and His tender lifting of Bhudevi back to her rightful place reveal the boundless compassion and supreme power of the Almighty. We then journey into the origin of the demon lineage, tracing how the great sage Kashyapa's union with Diti gave rise to the mighty Daityas, setting the stage for the eternal conflict between divine and demonic forces. Together, these narratives remind us that the Lord descends in every age to uphold righteousness and protect His devoted creation.
