అందుకై అతడు తన కుమార్తెను నీకు వసంగవలెనని ఇచరకు రానున్నాడు. నీవు ఆమెతో అనేక సంవత్సరములు భోగమును అనుభవింపగలవు. ఆమె నీ మనస్సును బాగుగా ఆనందింపచేయగలదు. ఆమె యందు నీవు తొమ్మిది మంది కుమార్తెలు జన్మింతురు నీకు. ఋషులు వారిని భార్యలుగా స్వీకరించి సంతానమును విలయింతురు. నీవు నా ఆజ్ఞను పాలించి నా ఆరాధనమునందు నిష్ట గలవాడవై నీవు ఆచరించు కర్మఫలము సమస్తము నాకే అర్పించుచు చివరకు నన్ను చేరెదవు. నీవు అంతఃకరణమును జయించిన వాడవు. చరాచరములగు సకల జీవుల యందు దేగలవాడవై యుందువు. అన్ని భూతముల యందు లోన ప్రవేశించి నియమించువాడను నేను అని ఎరంగి ఈ జగత్తును నాయందు నన్ను జగత్తునందు దర్శింపగలవు. ఆ దేవహుతి యందు నేను నా అంశచే అవతరింతును. ప్రకృతి, పురుష, ఈశ్వర అను తత్వములను వివేచించి ఎరింగించు శాస్త్రమును ప్రవచించెదను. ఈ విధముగా మాట్లాడి. అదోక్షజుడు సరస్వతీ నదిలో కూడిన బిందు సరస్ తీరమందు కర్దమ ఆశ్రమం నుండి వెడలిపోయెను. ఆ కర్దముడు చూచుండగానే ఆ భగవానుడు అధిష్టించిన గరుడుని రెక్కల కదలికచే ఋగ్వేదము సామవేదము అతనికి వినిపించెను. అట్టి వేదములను కర్దమునికి వినిపింపచేయుచు భగవానుడు గరుత్మంతునితో వెడలిపోయెను. స్వయంభువ మనువు బంగారు రథములో తన భార్యను పుత్రికను కూర్చుండ చేసుకొని శాంత స్వభావుడు కర్దమ ప్రజాపతి ఆశ్రమమునకు భగవానుడు చెప్పినట్లే వచ్చెను. భగవానుడు కర్దముని చూచి పొందిన ఆనందముచే నేత్రముల నుండి వెలువడిన ఆనందాశ్రు బిందువులు ఆ సరస్సునందు పడినవి. అందుచే ఆ సరస్సునకు బిందు సరస్సు అని పేరు వచ్చినది. దాని చుట్టూను సరస్వతి నది ప్రవహించుచుండెను. దాని దర్శనము చేతనే పుణ్యము లభించును, రోగములు తొలుగును. ఆ జలములు అమృతం వలె నుండును. మహర్షులు ఆ నదీ తీరమును సేవించుచుందురు. మృగములు, పక్షులు రుద చేయుచు కూయుచు పవిత్రములకు వృక్షములు, పుష్పములు ఈ అచట వనములో ఎల్లప్పుడూ లభించుచుండెను. మకరంద పానముచే మత్తిల్లిన తొమ్మిదలు అచట వృక్షములపై రుద చేయుచుండెను. మదించిన నెమళ్ళు అచట నాట్యము చేయుచుండెను. పూచిన కడిమి చెట్లు. మెదలగు చెట్లు మొదళ్ళు దట్టముగా ఉండెను. కారండము మొదలగు పక్షులు అచట మధురముగా కూయుచుండెను. లేళ్ళు విస్తారముగా విహరించుచుండెను. వరాహములు, మర్కటములు, సింహములు.

కస్తూరి మృగములు అచర తిరుగాడుచుండెను. అది రాజొగు మనువు ఆశ్రమమున ప్రవేశించెను. కర్దముడు హోమము చేసుకొని తన స్థానములో ఆసీనుడై యుండెను. అతడు చాలా కాలము తపస్సున మనసు నిశ్చలముగా నిలిపి మనసున ఏ విధమగు దోషములు లేనివాడై భగవంతుని ప్రేమతో ఆరాధించిన వాడై యుండెను. మనువు కర్దవ ప్రజాపతిని దర్శించెను. కర్దవ ప్రజాపతి భగవానుని వాక్కు అనే అమృతమును పానము చేయుటచే చాలా కాలము తపస్సు చేసినను ఎక్కువ కృషింపలేదు. మను అతని సమీపమునకు వచ్చి దర్శించి అతని పాదముల వద్ద నమస్కరించెను. కర్దమ ప్రజాపతి. అనురూపముకు పూజను వనర్చి ఆశీర్వదించి అతని రాకను అభినందించెను మరియు మనువుతో ఇట్లు పలికెను ఓ మను నీ దేశ పర్యటనము సాధు రక్షణమునకు దుష్ట శిక్షణమునకు జరుగుచున్నదని మేము ఎరుంగుదము. ఈ లోకము పాలించడి భగవానుని దివ్యశక్తి నీ రూపమునై ఈ లోకమున పాలించుచున్నది. శ్రీ మహావిష్ణువే ఈ జగత్ పాలనమునకు అవసరమైనప్పుడు సూర్య చంద్ర అగ్ని వాయు చంద్ర ఇంద్ర యమ వరుణాది రూపములను స్వీకరించుచుండును. అట్టి భగవానునకు నమస్కారము. నీవు ఇచ్చటికి వచ్చుటకు ప్రధానమైన ప్రయోజనము జగద్రక్షణమే అయినను ఏదో ఒక ప్రయోజనము కూడా ఉండి ఉండును. జయశీలమగు రథముతో భయజనకమగు విల్లును చేబూని ధర్మ విరోధులను భీతిని కలిగించుచు నీవు ఈ భూమండలమున సంచరించుచుంటివి. నీవు భూమిపై నీ సేనలతో పర్యటనము చేయనిచో వరుణాసన ధర్మముల వ్యవస్థ ధర్మ విరోధులగు వారిచే భ్రంశము చేయబడును. నియమ పాలన లేక అర్ధకామములే ప్రధానమని భావించడి మానవులు అధర్మమును లోకమున పెంపొందించుచుందురు. నీవు కదలక ఒకచోటనే పరుణ్ణచో లోకము ధర్మ చోరులచే నాశనము నొందును. ధర్మ రక్షణమునకే సంచరించుచున్న నీవు మా ఆశ్రమమునకు విచ్చేయుటలో వేరొక ప్రయోజనము కూడా ఉన్నచో నీవు స్పష్టముగా మాకు ఎరిగించిన మేము దానిని అంగీకరించగలము. తన గొప్పతనము ప్రశంసించుచు కర్దమ ప్రజాపతి మాట్లాడుట విని కొద్దిగా సిగ్గుపడుచు మనుసామ్రాట్టు నివృత్తి ధర్మమున నిష్ట గల ఆ మునితో ఇట్లు పలికెను.

బ్రహ్మ వేద స్వరూపుడు. అతడు తన ముఖము నుండి కర్మ యోగ, జ్ఞాన యోగ, భక్తి యోగములతో అలరారుచు విషయ లాలసత లేని వేదమయములగు బ్రాహ్మణులను వేద రక్షణకే సృష్టించినాడు. బ్రాహ్మణును రక్షించుటకు సహస్రపాదులగు శ్రీ మహావిష్ణువు తన భుజ సహస్రము నుండి క్షత్రియులను సృజించినాడు. వేద పాలనముకు బ్రాహ్మణులను బ్రాహ్మణ పాలనకు క్షత్రియులను సృజించిన బ్రహ్మ ఆ రెండింటిని రక్షించుటచే చేతనా చేతనాత్మకము జగమంతయు రక్షింపబడునని భావించినవాడు. హే భగవాన్, మీ దర్శనము చేతనే నా సంశయములన్నియు తొలగినవి. మీరు ధర్మ రక్షణమే నా కర్తవ్యమని ఇప్పుడే చెప్పి ఉండిరి. సుకృతం లేని వారికి మీ వంటి మహాపురుషుల దర్శనం లభింపదు. మీ పాద రజస్సు నా భాగ్యవశముచే నా శిరస్సుతో స్పృశించిడి భాగ్యము లభించినది. మీరు నన్ను అనుగ్రహించితిరి. మీ వాక్కులతో నా స్తోత్రమును పరమానందముగా వింటిని. నా పుత్రిక కొరకు నేను మనసును దుఃఖముతో నిండి ఉన్నాను. దాసుడనగు నా విజ్ఞాపనమును మీరు వినదగును. ఈమె నా కుమార్తె, ఈమె దేవహూతి. ఈమె సోదరులు ప్రియవ్రతుడు ఉత్తానపాదుడు. ఆమె భర్తకై అన్వేషించుచున్నది. నారదుని వలన మీ గుణములను విని మీ యందే మనసు నిలిపినది. మీరు మీకు భార్యగా ఉండవలెని కోరినది. అందుకై మీకు శ్రద్ధతో ఆమెను మీ వద్దకు తోడి తెచ్చితిని. గృహస్థ ధర్మములయందు ఈమె మీకు సర్వ విధముల అనుకూల అయి ఉండును. ఈమెను మీరు ధర్మపత్నిగా స్వీకరింప ప్రార్థించుచున్నాను. దైవ వశమున ఒకరు కోరదగిన కోరిక కోరిన వాడు కోరిన నాడు. తమకు దానియందు సంఘము లేకపోయినను దానికి విరక్తులై తిరస్కరింపరాదు. ఓ ప్రజాపతి, మీరు వివాహమునకై ప్రయత్నము గలవారలై ఉన్నారని విన్నాము. మీరు నైష్టిక బ్రహ్మచారి కాదని వివాహము చేసుకుందురని విన్నాం. నేను సమర్పించని మా కన్యను స్వీకరింపుడు. ఇట్లు స్వయంభవమును ప్రార్థింపగానే కర్ద మహాముని ఏమి అన్నారో తర్వాత మనం ఎపిసోడ్లో తెలుసుకుందాం పాడ్కాస్ట్లో. జై శ్రీమన్నారాయణ అస్మద్ గురుభ్యో నమః.

Hearing Kardama Prajapati speaking praising his greatness, the humble Manusa Mraatu, being a devotee of Dharma, spoke thus to that sage.

The Brahma is the form of the Vedas. He, from his face, shone with Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga, and Bhakti Yoga, created Brahmins who were without worldly desires, who were full of Vedas, for the protection of the Vedas. To protect the Brahmins, Sri Maha Vishnu, who has a thousand hands, created Kshatriyas from his shoulder.
