In this sacred episode from Canto 3 of Srimad Bhagavatham, we explore the divine story of Jaya and Vijaya, the mighty gatekeepers of Vaikuntha, the eternal abode of Lord Vishnu. The four Kumaras — Sanaka, Sanandana, Sanatana, and Sanat — arrive at the seven gates of Vaikuntha seeking the Lord's darshan, only to be stopped and disrespected by the proud gatekeepers. Enraged by this offense, the great sages curse Jaya and Vijaya to be born as mortals on earth, separated from the Lord they faithfully serve. This profound episode reveals how even devoted servants of the Lord must face the consequences of ego and arrogance, and how divine will operates behind every event in creation.
