In this sacred episode from Canto 3 of Srimad Bhagavatham, we explore the divine journey of the four Sanat-Kumaras — Sanaka, Sanandana, Sanatana, and Sanat-Kumara — as they seek to behold the Supreme Lord Vishnu in His eternal abode of Vaikuntha. Upon reaching the celestial realm, the sages are stopped by the mighty gatekeepers Jaya and Vijaya, leading to a profound confrontation that carries deep spiritual consequences. The great sages, in their righteous indignation, pronounce a curse upon the two guardians, setting into motion one of the most celebrated episodes in all of Vaishnava tradition.
