శ్రీమద్భాగవతం చతుర్థ స్కంధంలోని ఈ గంభీరమైన ఘట్టంలో, శివుని హెచ్చరికలను మనస్సులో ఉంచుకొనైనా సతీదేవి తన తండ్రి దక్షుడు నిర్వహించిన యజ్ఞసభలోకి ప్రవేశిస్తుంది. దక్షుడు సభ మొత్తం ఎదుట పరమేశ్వరునికి తగిన ఆసనమూ, గౌరవమూ నిరాకరించి ఆయనను బహిరంగంగా అవమానిస్తాడు. భర్త పట్ల జరిగిన అవమానాన్ని భరించలేని సతీదేవి తండ్రిని తీవ్రంగా నిరసించి, శివుని మహిమకు కళంకం కలిగించుకోవడం కంటే ప్రాణత్యాగమే మేలని నిర్ణయించుకుంటుంది.
In this profound episode from Canto 4 of Srimad Bhagavatham, Sati Devi enters the grand sacrificial assembly organized by her father Daksha, despite Lord Shiva's warnings about the disrespect that awaited her. Daksha openly dishonors Lord Shiva before the entire assembly, refusing to offer him a seat or acknowledgment befitting the greatest of devotees. Deeply wounded by her father's contempt for her beloved husband, Sati Devi delivers a fierce and righteous rebuke, ultimately choosing to give up her life rather than bear the insult to Lord Shiva's glory.
